Welcome to Oh La La Imperial Shih Tzu home of the Chinese Imperial Dog and the smaller Imperial Shih Tzu. We breed and promote only the highest quality Imperials that are happy and healthy with loving personalities and correct conformation. The Imperial Shih Tzu and Chinese Imperial Dog are sometimes referred to as imperials, tea cup, tiny, or pocket puppies. Although the Imperial Shih Tzu and the Chinese Imperial Dog are smaller (4-9 lbs) than the standard size Shih Tzu (10-16 lbs) they are not just the "runts" of the litter as some would have you believe. They are genetically bred, over many years, back to the size of the original Shih Tzu in Tibet centuries ago. Our Imperial Shih Tzu are registered with the American Kennel Club. Our Chinese Imperial Dogs are registered with the AKC and the Chinese Imperial Dog Registry of America. Oh La La Imperial Shih Tzu is a proud member of the Chinese Imperial Dog Club, which is the parent club for International Progressive Dog Breeders Alliance, The National Shih Tzu Organization, The Certified Pet Registry, National Kennel Club and the United All Breed Registry and Imperial Shih Tzu Information Society.
